Junior Rifle Program

Falls Township Rifle and Pistol Association is offering the NRA Junior Rifle Program for 2007-2008 season. The course teaches firearms safety and marksmanship and is offered without charge. FTRPA maintains a number of .22 caliber single shot rifles that are supplied for use in the course. Ammunition is provided along with all necessary course materials.

The Junior Rifle Program is divided into two groups:

The “ A “ group is for shooters who have completed the NRA Basic rifle course. They will begin shooting on October 13th at 9 AM until noon and continue on October 27; November 10; November 24; December 8 and December 22, 2007. Shooting will continue on the second and fourth Saturdays January through April 26, 2008. All children who have completed the “B” group are eligible to participate in the “A” group program.

The “ B “ group is for beginners age 10 to 18 who have not previously attended the NRA Basic Rifle Marksmanship Course and would like to learn basic shooting skills. Registration will be held on the first meeting day of the course, January 5, 2008 at 9 AM. The classes will run until noon Saturday mornings through March 22, 2008. Capacity is limited. Advance reservations are accepted.
