FTRPA Privacy Policy
Falls Township Rifle & Pistol Association (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our members, guests, and match participants. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Information We Collect
We collect limited personal information necessary to operate the club, manage memberships, ensure safety and compliance, and organize shooting matches and events.
- Members: We collect your name, contact information (mailing address, email address, and phone number(s)), and date of birth (DOB), and information needed to determine your legal eligibility to possess firearms (such as immigration status).
- Guests of members: We collect only names, and, when applicable for guest fee exemption, status as under age 18 or spousal relationship to member
- Match participants: We collect email addresses and phone numbers (in addition to names). In some cases we may collect age information to determine eligibility for junior or senior match categories.
- Class participants: We collect names and contact information (mailing address, email address, and phone number(s)), and date of birth (DOB), and information necessary for any partner organizations involved in the credential issuance or curriculum development. Participant and/or parent/guardian information as necessary will be collected to complete mandatory waivers.
We do not collect financial information through this policy (any payment processing is handled separately by secure third-party providers). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18 without parental consent where required.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely for legitimate club purposes, including:
- Processing and managing memberships
- Communicating with you about club activities, events, renewals, and safety notices
- Organizing and conducting shooting matches and events
- Maintaining records for safety, legal compliance (e.g., range rules and liability), and club operations
- Verifying applicable safety, coach, or instructor credentials or eligibility for training programs
- Improving our services and member experience
We do not use your information for marketing purposes unrelated to the club, nor do we sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties.
How We Share Your Information
We may share your personal information only in limited circumstances:
- We may share your personal information with trusted service providers (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, Brivo, Mailerlite) or partner competition or training organizations (e.g., National Rifle Association, NRL22) solely to help us manage memberships, communications, finances, facility access, training eligibility, or to meet sanctioning requirements. These providers are obligated to safeguard the data and use it only for providing services to the club or as required by law. We do not authorize them to use it for unrelated marketing to third parties.
- When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of the club, its members, or the public (for example, in response to a valid legal request or for liability/insurance purposes).
- We may share member list information with other members, including in fulfillment of requirements under PA C.S. Title 15 § 5508 relating to the right of members to inspect corporate records.
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or dissolution of the club, your information may be transferred as part of the assets, subject to the same privacy protections.
We do not share your information with other organizations for their marketing or commercial purposes.
Data Security
We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. However, no security system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
You may review and update your personal information by using the profile editing tool on the club’s member-only web site.
If you choose to leave the club or your membership is terminated (including by expulsion), we will generally stop using your information for ongoing communications such as newsletters or event invitations. However, we will retain certain records as long as necessary for our legitimate purposes, including:
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Protection of the club’s safety, liability, and insurance interests
- Maintenance of accurate historical records of membership, guest access, match participation, and any incidents or rule violations
This means we do not delete all personal information upon resignation or expulsion. In particular, information related to safety concerns, poor behavior, rule violations, or incidents will be retained to protect the club, its members, and guests. We do not allow former members to determine what records we keep or require erasure of information needed for these purposes.
You may still request to be removed from future communications (if any), though we reserve the right to contact you if needed for essential legal or safety matters.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on our website (if applicable) or notify members of material changes. Your continued membership or participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
