60-Yard Practice Range

Falls Township Pistol and Rifle Association offers a a 60-yard practice archery range with targets at 10-yard intervals. Archers can shoot from ground level from a 10 position concrete pad or from a metal elevated stand that simulates tree stand shooting. Club members shoot under the lights every Friday night starting at 6 p.m. from the first week in April through November.

Archery Animal League

An Archery Animal League will begin in May. It will be held on Thursday nights at 6:30. League will be shot using paper animal targets. Shots in the X ring score 5 points with shots to the body scoring 2 points. No score for all other shots. This will be a 200 point total scoring for the each match. Teams will be drawn at the start of each week so there will be different teams each week. All bows are welcome, including crossbows. Crossbows must be shot offhand.

Cost: $5.00 per shooter. The team with the highest score each week will split 50% of the total proceeds collected that night.

3D Archery Shoot

Monthly 3-D Shoots

Monthly 30-station, 3-D shoots are held the first Sunday of each month, weather permitting. Life like 3-D targets of every description ranging from buffalos to fish set in realistic settings will challenge the novice and seasoned archer alike. Archers can shoot from three different positions, adult, junior and traditional bow. The Monthly 3-D shoots are open to the public. Fees are: $10 for adults and $5 for juniors.

A separate archery clubhouse accommodates a kitchen as well as a fully equipped workshop for rigging and fine tuning bows and arrows.

Can You Beat the Bionic Deer?

The notorious “Bionic Deer” haunts the 60-yard range daring archers to take a shot at him. But beware, this deer has a steel hide and eats arrows for fun. Shoot at your arrows risk!

All Shooting Ranges Are Currently Closed. All Events are Cancelled Until Further Notice. Outdoor Ranges Will Reopen on Friday, June 5th.

Pursuant to Governor Wolf’s order for non-life-sustaining businesses to close, with enforcement to begin March 21, 2020 at 12:01AM, FTRPA is closed to members and guests until June 5th, when we will enter into operations under “yellow phase” guidelines. Outdoor ranges and Curtis Lake will be open. COVID mitigation procedures must be followed.
